Who we are

Welcome to Willow & Oak, where our mission is to provide you with non-toxic, economical, and sustainable products that support a healthier lifestyle. My journey began when I uncovered the hidden toxins in everyday items like laundry detergent, body soap, and household cleaners—substances that can disrupt body systems, causing inflammation and imbalances. Determined to reduce my toxic load, I started replacing these products with natural alternatives, only to find that they were often hard to find and expensive.

This realization inspired me to create my own non-toxic solutions, and it quickly became my goal to share these with others. At Willow & Oak, we are committed to offering you high-quality products that are not only safe for you and your family but also affordable and environmentally friendly. Join us in making simple, sustainable choices that nurture your well-being without compromising on quality or cost.

How it started

In the winter of 2017, I began experiencing a range of troubling symptoms. Initially, they appeared gradually, making it difficult to identify their cause. It wasn’t until much later that I was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s thyroiditis. This diagnosis was particularly challenging for several reasons:

  1. Lack of Awareness: Hashimoto’s isn’t widely discussed, making it hard to find information and support.

  2. Overlapping Symptoms: Many of its symptoms can easily be mistaken for other conditions or simply attributed to the natural effects of aging.

  3. Frequent Misdiagnoses: It is often misdiagnosed, leading to prolonged uncertainty and frustration.

For an extended period, I struggled with these undiagnosed symptoms. As my health continued to decline over the months, it became increasingly difficult to convince myself that everything was alright. Eventually, I reached a breaking point and consulted my doctor, describing what felt like extreme PMS-like symptoms. Just one week later, I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism and began receiving treatment.

With that diagnosis, my journey toward better health and a deeper understanding of non-toxic, sustainable living began…
